POTENSI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT TC3 YANG DIISOLASI DARI TAUCO FERMENTASI TERHADAP CUTIBACTERIUM ACNES DAN STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS

Infeksi kulit dan peradangan jerawat umumnya dikaitkan dengan Staphylococcus aureus dan Cutibacterium acnes, sementara peningkatan penggunaan antibiotik berkontribusi pada resistensi antimikroba dan gangguan mikrobioma. Studi ini menghasilkan aktivitas antibakteri isolat bakteri asam laktat (LAB) TC3 yang berasal dari tauco fermentasi terhadap C. acnes dan S. aureus menggunakan metode difusi cakram agar. Kultur LAB diinkubasi selama 24 dan 48 jam, dan zona inhibisi diukur dalam milimeter. Klindamisin dan air suling steril digunakan sebagai kontrol positif dan negatif. LAB TC3 yang diinkubasi selama 24 jam menghasilkan zona inhibisi rata-rata 10 ,25 mm terhadap kedua patogen, menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri sedang. Inkubasi 48 jam menunjukkan inhibisi yang berkurang (9 ,00 mm untuk C. acnes dan 8,50 mm untuk S. aureus ). Klindamisin menunjukkan aktivitas yang lebih tinggi (16 ,13 mm), sedangkan kontrol negatif tidak menunjukkan inhibisi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa LAB TC3 menunjukkan efek antibakteri terukur yang dipengaruhi oleh durasi inkubasi. Meskipun kurang ampuh dibandingkan antibiotik konvensional, isolat ini menunjukkan potensi sebagai kandidat antimikroba tambahan yang kompatibel dengan mikrobioma untuk aplikasi dermatologis
